NATIONAL NOISE ADVICE LINE

NoiseAid Case studies

Corporate rectitude need not be the preserve of million dollar conglomerates.
Generosity and compassion, the underlying principles of corporate philanthropy are more about a clear moral purpose rather than how much money a company accumulates or gives away.

Aside from the obvious goal of generating profits, most companies have a mission statement or philosophy, whether it is of ethical investment, high quality goods at low prices or sustainable progress.

At Sanctum Consultants we have always had a very clear objective; to share knowledge and empower individuals. Why should access to information be the preserve of the elite?

In December 2005, Noisedirect; The National Noise Advice Line was launched to provide a low cost service for noise makers and sufferers. The success of Noisedirect also served to highlight that many noise sufferers are saddled with the added burdens of hardship and poverty. With a clear belief that the provision of advice, information and advocacy services for all sectors of the community is an inherent component of social justice, a pro bono fund; NoiseAid was launched in August 2006.

The NoiseAid fund is effectively the donation of time by volunteers and associates which enables us to provide telephone advice and carry out limited casework for noise sufferers. The service is restricted to vulnerable groups, the elderly, those on low incomes or suffering harassment and discrimination. Since its inception, NoiseAid has assisted many individuals, enabling them to progress their noise problems with a view to achieving effective, lasting and permanent solutions.

Large or small, all organisations and companies have a role to play in the creation of a just and equal society by doing something extra that they don't necessarily have to, but choose to do.
